Lewis Crocker delivers strong performance against durable Tyrone McKenna and wins by unanimous decision at the SSE Arena, Belfast.
Crocker did not skip a beat, he began by throwing the kitchen sink at McKenna as soon as the first bell had rung.
Power-shot after power-shot, gradually breaking through the guard of McKenna; still, McKenna toughed it out, and tried to come back into the fight.
McKenna had some success around the half-way mark, he started to bite down on his gum-shield, keep the guard tight, then exchange in the pocket.
Crocker had remarkable success with the right-uppercut, this was partially aided by McKenna’s southpaw stance, and staying inside.
McKenna did not utilise head-movement or footwork for defence; instead, he relied on his guard to try and soak up as much of the punches as possible.
Surprisingly, no knockdowns were scored in this fight, despite the venom being deployed by both fighters, and especially Crocker.
Finally, it’s been announced that Tyrone McKenna has retired, he had fought high-level opposition, and the only opponent to stop him was Regis Prograis.

Prograis is a hard-hitting, elusive southpaw, who enters the squared-circle against Devin Haney next weekend.
Crocker will proceed to the next step in his career, and move to the next level, I think the following fighters could be potential opponents:
- Yordenis Ugas
- Alexis Rocha
- Conor Benn
- Jin Sasaki
- David Avanesyan
